Kogi Governorship Poll : Appeal Court Constitutes Election Petitions Tribunal

Information which crept into the newsroom of Themeteornews has it that the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa has constituted a Governorship and House of Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal to handle petitions arising from the conduct of the November 16, Kogi State Governorship election.

This information was contained in a Press statement signed by Secretary of the Tribunal, Mr. Umar Abubakar which was made available to Journalists recently.

The Tribunal is expected to hear and adjudicate on petitions arising from the said Governorship election as well as those emanating from the forthcoming supplementary and re-run elections in Kogi West Senatorial District and Ajaokuta Federal Constituency polls scheduled for Saturday, November 30.

Abubakar in the statement further disclosed that the Secretariat of the Tribunal which is located at High Court, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja is
open to persons
wishing to file petitions about the conduct of the said elections.
